Dr. Noel G. L. Hutchinson, Jr. is a versatile figure deeply committed to faith, community, and service. Currently serving as the Executive Mission Director for the Progressive National Baptist Convention (PNBC), his leadership is marked by a desire to effect positive change. A native of The Bronx, New York, Dr. Hutchinson's journey is characterized by a diverse array of roles that have shaped his wealth of experiences and expertise. His academic journey, including a Bachelor of Arts from Brandeis University and advanced degrees from Drew Theological School and United Theological Seminary, underscores his dedication to scholarly inquiry and spiritual development.

 

In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Hutchinson has actively engaged in civic and community endeavors, serving on various boards such as the Memphis NAACP and Memphis Urban League. He has also contributed significantly to media through hosting radio and television programs that address critical societal issues. Beyond these roles, Dr. Hutchinson's pastoral leadership is exemplified at Kingdom Fellowship Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee, where he has served since 2020. Through his ministry, he seeks to bridge the gap between faith and contemporary challenges, empowering individuals to integrate their Christian witness into everyday life.

 

Dr. Hutchinson's multifaceted involvement in academia, community activism, and pastoral leadership reflects his holistic approach to service and engagement. His tenure as an adjunct professor at Memphis Theological Seminary and as College Chaplain at LeMoyne-Owen College illustrates his commitment to nurturing both intellectual and spiritual growth. Whether through academia, community service, or pastoral ministry, Dr. Hutchinson remains dedicated to making a meaningful impact and fostering positive change in the lives of those he encounters.

Just like in football, the huddle is where strategies are discussed, decisions are made, and teamwork prevails. In the huddle, Dr. Hutchinson serves as the quarterback, guiding us through conversations about what's happening in our community and how we can make a positive impact.
